Manchester United are eyeing a sensational move to sign Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar, according to reports in France. Neymar, 25, completed a world-record £198million move from Barcelona to the French capital last summer and has scored 20 goals in his opening 22 appearances for PSG.
Le 10 Sport suggests the Red Devils are preparing a €500m (£443m) bid in an attempt to lure the forward to Old Trafford. Such a move would obliterate Neymar’s current world-record transfer ahead of the 2017/18 campaign – it’s claimed only United and Madrid have the funds to pull off such an audacious move.
Ed Woodward is determined to bring a global superstar to United at the end of the season and Antoine Griezmann is also firmly on the club’s radar. Griezmann appeared on the verge of signing for the Red Devils last summer, but Atletico Madrid’s transfer ban meant the Frenchman felt obliged to stay put.
